When to Install and Activate Your Llega eSIM?

Feel free to install your Llega eSIM from home before your trip, as long as you have a strong Wi-Fi connection! Just remember to activate it when you arrive at your destination, so your data plan starts counting at the right moment.

In this article, we’ll cover when to install your eSIM, whether to install it before travel, and the best timing for activation to get the most use out of your connectivity.

When should I install my eSIM?

We recommend installing your eSIM at least a day before your trip. A reliable Wi-Fi is essential for easy Llega eSIM installation, so avoid poor airport Wi-Fi. This proper eSIM setup ensures you’re ready to go as soon as you arrive!

When should I activate my eSIM?

If you’re wondering when to activate your eSIM, it’s pretty simple: you should activate your Llega eSIM right when you arrive at your destination. This way, you can connect to the network right away! No need for Wi-Fi or data to activate, just adjust your settings. Keep in mind that once your data plan is activated, the days will start counting down and your eSIM setup will be completed!

Troubleshooting Tips

If your eSIM activates before you travel, don’t worry! Some phone models automatically install and activate it. Just keep data roaming turned off until you reach your destination. Your usage days will only start counting once you’re there and ready for activation.

To check if your eSIM is not activated yet:

  • Go to the Llega App → Choose My eSIMs → View Details of the eSIM you want to check the information and here you will be able to see the day your eSIM started, the days consumed, and the expiration date.

If you haven’t downloaded the app, you can access this information on the Llega Center by following these steps:

  • Go to llega.com  Tap on the Menu list icon  Choose Login  Enter your purchase email and the Verification code  Once you’re in your account  Select View Details of the eSIM you purchased and here you will be able to see the day your eSIM started, the days consumed, and the expiration date.
